Arcus Development Group Inc. ("Arcus") announces that crews have been mobilized into the Dawson Gold project area. In-fill auger soil sampling has commenced and diamond drilling is expected to begin early next week.
The initial 2011 work program will consist of diamond drill testing of a number of coincident geochemical and geophysical anomalies on each of the Touleary and the Dan Man properties. The number of holes to be completed at each location will be contingent upon drill results but the first phase is expected to include up to six drill holes on each of the Touleary and Dan Man properties.
Ridge crest and spur auger soil sampling will be conducted early in the season over a number of priority target areas on claims staked by Arcus at the end of the 2010 field program. Detailed in-fill auger soil sampling over existing soil geochemical and geophysical anomalies will also be completed on each of the Touleary and Dan Man properties.
The initial 2011 work program has been budgeted at $1,100,000 and will be completed by early July. All samples from the initial drill holes and the in-fill soil grids will be assayed on an expedited basis to allow for follow-up work during the latter part of the 2011 field season. A second phase of drilling will commence in early August, contingent upon the results from the initial drilling and soil sampling.
